Competitive Foundations & Athletic Discipline
Work Ethic Built Through Football
Playing Division I football at Ohio State and Rice University shaped how I approach everything I do. The daily demands of the sport taught me discipline, consistency, and accountability at an elite level.
Football required showing up prepared every day—early mornings, long practices, film sessions, and constant evaluation. That environment trained me to manage time effectively, stay focused under pressure, and execute at a high standard regardless of circumstances.
That same work ethic now drives my creative process. I approach content with intention, structure, and consistency. I plan ahead, meet deadlines, and stay adaptable when things change quickly. Whether working independently or within a team, I bring the same commitment to preparation and execution that was expected of me as a Division I athlete.
At its core, football taught me that success is built through consistency, attention to detail, and a willingness to outwork expectations—and those principles guide how I create, collaborate, and lead today.
Athlete-First Perspective
Having competed as a Division I football player, Lloyd McFarquhar understands the reality of being a student-athlete beyond what is visible on game day. This perspective shapes how creative work is approached and executed.
Key Principles:
-Respecting the time demands placed on athletes
-Understanding locker-room culture and team dynamics
-Highlighting athletes in ways that feel authentic, not forced
-Knowing when moments should be amplified — and when they should be protected
This mindset allows creative storytelling to support athletes rather than distract from their preparation or performance. Content is designed to reflect who athletes truly are, while reinforcing trust, comfort, and confidence.
I am a former Division I football athlete with experience at both The Ohio State University and Rice University. Competing at the highest level of college football required daily discipline, preparation, and the ability to perform under constant pressure.
As a defensive back at Ohio State, I was part of championship-level programs that demanded precision, accountability, and consistency. At Rice University, I continued my career while balancing elite athletics with academic and professional development.
This background provides a firsthand understanding of:
-The demands placed on student-athletes
-High-expectation team environments
-Preparation for game-day performance
-Operating within structured, detail-driven systems
This experience shapes how I approaches creative work today — with discipline, adaptability, and a deep respect for the athlete experience.
